Auction Time

I went to an auction today and bought a load of goodies for the shop.

I've unloaded it into the driveway to sort it out. And to take pictures like a good little blogger.

Right now I'm in the middle of washing the linens, and cleaning up everything else. But I'm kind of pooped. I love going to auctions, but standing all day, trying to pay close attention, and making decisions about what to bid on and for how much just leaves me drained. So I thought I'd take a break and write a post.

I want to get it all cleaned up and priced and in the shop so people can see it. That's the fun part. I love it when someone finds something I loved enough to buy...and it really trips their trigger and they want it too.

I got a bunch of these trays in wonderful shabby chic-like colors.

I love the aluminum spice set and the red handled utensils too!

And here's the clincher. This is the most gorgeous little platform cradle. I can't decide whether to put it in the shop or keep it to rock my grandbabies in. Now, I don't actually have any grandbabies yet (thank goodness), but someday...........

Joe says put it in the shop and when our grandbabies get here we will run across another.
I guess I will.
Maybe.

What great finds. I would want to keep that cradle too. It's gorgeous, and those trays I love them.

"Trips their trigger"... How did I manage to live 40 years without hearing this?! Love it! And I'm loving your spice jars. Awesome. So perfect... And you took pics. You're too good. I always have the best intentions, but by the time I enter it into inventory I don't wanna take pics anymore!!!

I love the aluminum spice set, I think they are made by Mirro. My Grandma had them and the canisters for flour, sugar, coffee and COOKIES! She made the best peanut butter cookies. I have been having fun trying to find things tha remind me of my relatives. I have to visit your shop one day!

Hi Joyce...

I'm visiting from Jan's blog Feather Your Nest Antiques. I see you visited her today...someday Tom and I will, too. We live about 1 1/2 hours south.

Where is your antique mall/store?

I love your stuff, too!!!

~Blessings,
Jan
