Paint, Paint, Paint.........

You won't believe what I did today!

That's right, and if you know me...you know how odd this is. I hate heights. I don't do heights. But, I'm determined to get this garage painted! If you could see my feet you would see my toes are trying to curl around the ladder...my feet were so tired when I got down! Last time I tried something like this I ended up in tears. So maybe I'm making progress, but I don't think I'll ever like being up high.

Here is the view from the neighbor's house....looks better, right? I still have a second coat to go on the side with the doors. And we need to do the other two sides. But the worst part is done...DS scraped them down and started priming them. Just in the nick of time, since he goes back to work tomorrow.

Here's Joe working on the front of the house again.

He's very safety conscious...I'm glad he wears the mask. We want to keep those lungs healthy for a long, long time.

Making progress on DD's sweater. Tomorrow I have to go get more paint and I'm going to go by a yarn shop in Btown. I'm hoping to pick up some more colors of sock yarn-maybe one of the self striping ones.

You are one brave woman! I am getting worse about heights, not better as I age.

The garage looks GREAT! And I'm happy to hear your boy is going back to work...that must be a relief for him.

The front of the house is looking really nice. All that hard work Joe is doing is paying off.

Someday I'm going to learn to knit. Marty tried to teach me, but I'm a poor student.

MUCH better! You are truly brave. I'm so happy we have a one story cottage with a diminutive garage!

The garage looks great! I'm not one for ladders either.

You be careful on that ladder!!! That looks scary to me. But I'd be doing it, too, if I wanted it done. I hate waiting on Honey-do to do it. The garage is looking great and so is your house. I just love yellow on an old house! It's so cheery, it seems like it just makes the house say "look at me!"

EWWW, I don't like standing on a chair let alone a ladder!!

Em and I walked by on Saturday and I was telling her how beautiful your house was looking and she agreed, but was really more interested in the squirell climbing into the hole in the neighbor behind your's tree.

What a difference paint can do to your home, and of cause, hard work!! Our home will need to be painted in a couple of years, Im not looking forward to it...I dont mind climbing ladders, I do it quite alot, but my feet hurt for days after, my toes must curl over too!
Your dog is just gorgeous, and hubby isnt too bad for 50 either!

Wow!! What a difference. The yellow paint you picked is just beautiful and perfect for your architectural style. I too am afraid of heights, and I give you great kudos for climbing that ladder in the name of paint!
