This is what a frustrated homemaker starts doing when she is tired of looking at studs. I like doing it ourselves........but it sure makes things take forever sometimes. This wall is at the bottom of the stairs. On the other side of it is the fridge.
The ceiling is way up there at second floor ceiling level. I'm hoping we can put a tin ceiling up there. It's not much square footage and I think it would look so cool. I mentioned this to Joe way back when, but I'm not sure he remembers. We are talking about finishing the walls with horizontal boards-very cottage style. It seems like it would fit in with our home.

I LOVE your house! I can't wait to see the finished staircase. Let's have a party when that happens, 'k? Or we can have the party while we work on it if you'd like some help.
I say soda...a "pop" is something you get when you smart off to a parent...at least it is where I originated. LOL
I took the quiz...please "pop" on over to my blog and see my results! LOL
You and I have the same accent, how funny!!
Redoing an old house is something DH and I have always wanted to do, but I'm afraid that it would take him longer than 5 years to do each project so we'd be dead before we got half way through the house.
