I Won!

I am so excited about the lovely things I won in the giveaway on A Lovely Thing!! Seashells and Shiny Brites!! Also some other goodies like some great vintage Christmas candles. I think I may make a little tree with Shiny Brites in our new blue bedroom this Christmas. I'm even going to use the ribbons from the wrapping on my tags. Thank you so much Inis!

Now, you know I really needed another project right? LOL Well, I've been seeing all the great handknit socks on Flickr. Check out this amazing collection of handknit socks! Anyway, I've been thinking I'd like to try them...and a new little yarn store opened in my town. The perfect excuse to get started on them. ...we haven't had a store like this and I would hate to see her business not get off to a good start. Got to do my part to help you know!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Look. So far, so good...I have a nice little cuff going there. I've never knit socks because they seem soooo complicated. But here I go. Hopefully all will go smoothly and not too much swearing will happen.

Don't you just love to hear the words, "YOU WON"?! Congrats! So how long are you going to make your socks? Will they be ankle or knee high?

Hi Dot! I'm going to make them ankle length. Maybe long enough to fold over. It was nice to talk to you yesterday!

Congrats on winning. I hope you finish your socks. I have mittens that I started a loooooooooong time ago and I only have one cuff done :(
I'm not sure when we can use the gift certificate but I hope in the fall sometime. It would be nice to stop by and see you again.

The socks will be adorable. I sure do like the color!

About my car sterio...when I saw it - it took me about a milisecond to think about you and your stolen computer!

Love your little cottage getaway - reminds me of ours. Ours isn't on the lake, but we enjoy it so much. Like a mini-vacation, and lots of together time. Enjoy! Vickie

I didn't know you're a knitter! I would've sent some yarn, too.

I'm so glad you like the goodies. I'd love to see what you do with them at Christmas.
