Some bad luck....

I will be away from my computer for a few days...or rather, my computer will be away from me. The one I keep with me all the time was apparently stolen from our home tonight. Lock your doors folks, there are some bad people with a lot of nerve out there. I will be back online in about a week. And don't worry, I'm sure I will be having more fun than the guy above...and I'll share it with you then.

I feel your pain — our house was burglarized a few weeks ago. Luckily I had my laptop with me, but I lost many irreplaceable jewelry items among other things. I have been hearing about way too many burglaries, robberies and worse lately — very scary. Lock your doors indeed! (Don't forget the windows too.)

Hi there! I'm visiting my sister and on her computer. Thanks for all your concern. I went to the grocery store and minutes later someone came in our back door and picked the laptop bag up and ran....and my daughter was sitting right in the next room! She heard door and thought it was me coming back in, but the dog wouldn't stop barking so she went to check it out. Both doors were hanging open and she never saw the person. Nothing else is missing.

We live in a small town, have a dog, all the lights were on, and someone was home! Apparently we should be keeping the doors locked even when we are there and going in and out....I think that's nuts and what is the world coming to?!

It's not what it's coming to, it's where it has gone...somewhere in a handbasket I'd say. *sigh*

I am so sorry that happened to your family...how scary that your daughter was in the next room!

We just got a warning from our local police to always lock our car doors as there was no area in our town that has escaped car burglaries! Awful, awful!

In the words of my teenage niece, BAD PEOPLE SUCK!

I'm sorry you lost your computer. What a pain -- I'm sure you had a lot of work stored on it.

We had some bad people stealing stuff out of open garages in our townhome community ... while the owners were a few feet away inside a kitchen door.

Are you ready for a teeny-tiny bit of good news? I have an award for you on my blog. Come pick it up. Relatively minor compared to your ordeal, but hopefully it'll cheer you up just a little.
