Scraping and Sewing

Today I started out to scrape the front porch. I got the inside scraped and caulked, but I didn't even get to the outside. And OOOOh am I ever sore. Remember I said I need to get back into shape? Boy can I feel it tonight!
Here it is right after I scraped.
I'm trying to help with the low parts, because in a week we need to be packing up the scaffolding and getting ready for a graduation party.... our little girl graduates from high school. I can hardly believe it.
And here is my other project. I bought some outdoor fabric to recover the cushions on the back porch. How's that for bright and cheerful? Eventually I'd like to paint the glider red...to match the cute little breakfast set we got at Kmart last week. The glider is a garage sale find...my mom and dad found it and bought it for me for my birthday one year. $25....gotta love a deal like that!
I'm probably going to make some little throw pillows out of this tablecloth. Don't you just love the girl out flower shopping?!

Tonight I really should put the last coat on the bathroom trim. If I can move.

Don't forget, if you haven't signed up for the giveaway leave a comment on the post below to enter.

We have one graduating too. I love the glider. I think my grandparents had one similar, and that tablecloth is pretty.

I like your glider. I've always wanted one, but haven't come across one ever. I know there's one out there waiting for me somewhere!

It'll look really nice in red. I like the bright fabric, and the tablecloth will make pretty pillows.

I can't wait to see the finished product! I really like the fabric and red is my favorite color!

Oh, and guess what...our roof is now supposed to be fixed. I'm going to ask God for rain to test it...after Memorial Day. LOL

Well no wonder you are tired and hurting. Do you ever stop? You have been doing a lot of work.

I can't wait to see everything finished up.

I'm sure it will be beautiful.

I hope your muscles are feeling better by the graduation! Congrats on your daughter graduating!

I bet the glider will look cute in red. I love that tablecloth with the girl looking at the flowers. Very sweet! I'll look forward to seeing how everything looks when you have fixed up the way you want!

Feel better soon! Maybe take a hot bath or something?
