I love art, gardening, junking and all kinds of vintage stuff! This blog will have treasures I find, things I have remade into new treasures, cool vintage stuff- and also photos I take of garden art and recycling that I find on my jaunts. And of course it will feature my home...the ultimate recycling/renovating project!

Weird Autumn
These pics were taken yesterday in our yard. Ususally in November in central Illinois all the leaves are off the trees but we've been having a lot of warm weather. This is what it looked like yesterday! Our roses are still blooming!

Here in northern Illinois, it is the same. Most of the leaves are still on the trees and today I spotted the most beautiful red rose in someones yard. Of course I didn't have my camera with me. You have more blooms on your rose bush tho. I just can't get over it.
It is weird indeed even here in Georgia. The rocks near the roses may be sharing their heat they gather from the sun to keep those flowers toasty during your cool nights.
It's so strange for it to still be this warm. But you're right Felicia, those rocks could be keeping them even warmer...I always forget about that whole microclimate thing.
We were hoping for a bit of color down in Texas because of all the rain we had this summer...but alas - you must have both rain AND cooler temperatures in order to get color!
Hi there! I just saw a comment you left me on my blog about 2 or 3 weeks ago! Thank for stopping by! I love your blog, will be back again! God bless :)
Hi; I don't see where to email you, but thanks for your comment on my tree painting. That one's been sold, just shipped off today-- but there will probably be more in the series, so feel free to keep an eye on my Etsy shop: http://melissatulip.etsy.com

It's so beautiful, and I'm surprised also that you still have leaves. We are pretty bare here in Minnesota.
