Freeze a Cold

I've had a horrible cold for the last week, but Sunday, I couldn't stand to be inside even one more day. I loaded up on decongestants and Joe and I went hiking at Starved Rock.

Our pictures don't do it justice. We spotted several bald eagles soaring over the dam. In this pic you can see a couple in the trees.
The waterfalls are all iced over and you can hear the water running beneath the ice.

Here we are....me with a cold, and being very cold! After we were thoroughly frozen, we went back to the lodge and had a wonderful dinner by the fire. Today I'm feeling much better, but Joe seems to be coming down with the cold, poor guy!

Beautiful hike! And you two look too cute! OTC Theraflu powder that you add to nice hot water always seems to help my colds. At least you both have it at different times. It was terrible 1x Billy and I both were sick - it was like who takes care of who? :)

What a beautiful place! Hope you're feeling better. Dinner by the fire sounds perfect.

It sounds like you guys had fun despite the weather and your illness. If you had taken me you would have had a horrible time....'cause I would have been complainin' big time! LOL

Cute photo!

Hey stranger...

Sorry to hear you have been sick. There is just never a good time for a bad cold. It looks like you enjoyed yourself on your hike.

I hope you are getting healthy...

Hugs,
