We awoke this morning to a very beautiful, but dangerous world. Joe made it to work, but I decided not to risk it....somehow, I don't think folks will be out hunting for antiques in this. I hope not anyway!
We didn't have any limbs down in our yard, but look at the redbud...it's touching it's toes!
The ice is so beautiful though.
We heard we could get up to an inch of ice...it wasn't quite that thick, thank goodness. Joe went out and bought a generator last night. Folks, those babies are expensive! My mom just had surgery the day before though and he didn't think we should be unprepared. We didn't need it so far, but now we are prepared if we ever do. The next town down the highway is without power this morning.
Hawkeye is not crazy about our patio being turned into an ice rink.
Want to come and sit on our swing? Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

What a beautiful site!! Some days I wish it snowed more here. Merry Christmas, Theresa
What beautiful pictures. Ice is dangerous, but looks lovely. It makes all the plants and trees look like ornaments.
We're not getting ice, but about 8inches of snow have dumped on us since this morning and there's tons more coming. My poodles aren't happy about it either. Hope Hawkeye and you all get some relief from the ice soon.
Dangerously beautiful! I'm gladyou are still with power.
We didn't get the ice but we did get snow and it's still lightly snowing out.
The pictures are beautiful tho.
We've lost so many limbs from our tree in the front that it's probably a total loss. No telling how old it is, and now it's life is about over. I'm sad.
I know how dangerous it is...but it is ohhhh soooo pretty!
The ice is pretty! I'm glad y'all are safe and with electricity! ~Mindy
