Here's the temperature on my back patio this afternoon. And with the wind chill factor it was -30! We closed the shop and museums early and went home to get warm. They even called off classes at ISU, which is pretty unusual!
I spent the afternoon knitting. Joe got me some lovely new
Signature Arts knitting needles for Christmas...they came in the mail yesterday. I have to say they are a huge splurge, but oh so nice to knit with! If you are a knitter you might want to put them on your wish list.
My father-in-law gave me a gift certificate for Christmas and I bought a great little bag for carrying my socks-in-progress around in....and it was on sale so I got a sock pattern book too. It was a very knitty Christmas for me!
Then I made these this afternoon. I really shouldn't have. Really. I think I'm going to have to pack them up and give them away.

We've got the same painful cold temperatures. Perfect for hibernating at home, knitting and baking. It's so cold out the dogs can only go out for few seconds to relieve themselves and then come bunny hopping back in on 3 feet.

Wow, I just can't even fathom -30° or even -10°! With the wind chill here, it's 34° which is absolutely freezing to me. Your bag is adorable. And those cookies, I'll eat them ;) I'm going to get in the cookie making mood this weekend.
Yup. That kind of cold, I can't comprehend. In Texas, it's in the 20's this morning and that's cold enough for me! Brrr! The cookies do look wonderful. Yum! And the bag you bought looks perfect for hauling your projects. Stay warm! ~Mindy
Oh my word! A wind chill of -30? I'm certainly not envious! Where is it that you are from? I know you mentioned coming through my area (Milan, Tennessee) before, but I'm not sure where you are. I can't imagine that kind of weather. Please stay safe and warm :)

It's been a cold winter. Yesterday the temp was -22, but today we are above zero. Thanks for visiting my blog. I stood in the yarn isle today looking at "teach myself how to knit books". I ended up walking out without one, but now that I came to your blog, I think I need to teach myself a new craft!
Yikes, I have no idea what -10 even feels like. It reminds me not to complain when it is 30 degrees here. I hope it warms up for you.
