I envy the space you have lady!

As for the car issue, you could always get a hot sportscar to park there ;)

Be careful covering utility boxes. I covered the old cable box so well at our old house that the new owners couldn't find it. I had to go over and show them.A Lovely Thinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10871494390233017835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13084489.post-16413847254778241912008-06-12T23:34:00.000-05:002008-06-12T23:34:00.000-05:00No suggestions... but your garden looks LOVELY!No suggestions... but your garden looks LOVELY!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17377889829748572675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13084489.post-1714264503517107672008-06-12T23:24:00.000-05:002008-06-12T23:24:00.000-05:00Actually cami, I like that idea...I'll have to che...Actually cami, I like that idea...I'll have to check into doing that with my electric meter.theshopkeeperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08753308984387735107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13084489.post-25242121007240367962008-06-12T22:52:00.000-05:002008-06-12T22:52:00.000-05:00We live way out in the country and we cover much o...We live way out in the country and we cover much of our unsightly, but necessary items w/ little houses. Think slightly larger than a birdhouse and then I put a garden gnome nearby to guard it. It's whimsical and makes me laugh and totally does the job. It may be a bit much in a smaller space.Camihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06654969052855435717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13084489.post-29063558905375110582008-06-12T12:03:00.000-05:002008-06-12T12:03:00.000-05:00Judy, it sounds like your yard is a wonderful priv...Judy, it sounds like your yard is a wonderful private retreat. That's what I'd like here...a little more privacy and a little less of looking at cars.

Dot, I love your deck, but I can see how you'd feel like you need more privacy. I wonder if an arbor over the top would do the trick...block the view of anyone looking down.pedalpowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06470754372766025694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13084489.post-66246825360460718512008-06-12T10:13:00.000-05:002008-06-12T10:13:00.000-05:00I don't think that's negative thinking. But I like...I don't think that's negative thinking. But I like to see my driveway...that could be because we share a drive and I like to keep an eye on my vehicles. I think your yard is beautiful. My back yard can't be seen from the street, but my neighbors on the south are up higher than we are so they can see right into our yard...and that makes me feel like I have someone staring at me all the time. I would love to have a more private deck.Peggyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12820289252952684291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13084489.post-88483984650649392902008-06-12T07:45:00.000-05:002008-06-12T07:45:00.000-05:00I would do the same thing with hiding the driveway...I would do the same thing with hiding the driveway. I think the arborvitae's are a great idea for along the drive. That's a good idea with the basketball pole.
We live on a corner too. Our neighborhood used to be a farmers cornfield. Everybody who drove by would look in our house because our windows were big when we first moved into our house. You could wave to them when you were sitting in the livingroom. But where we built our house we are really close to the road. On almost and acre why didn't we move the house over some? Ask Mr Wonderful that question. :) Anyhow here I'm rambling on. We planted Nine Bark and Cardinal Autumn Olive Trees. They are like a big shrub tree. The Cardinal Autumn Olive trees can grow up to 30 feet tall. We do trim those every other year. Our yard right now is so private in the backyard you can't even see who is driving by. :) and I love it. I don't think that makes me negative.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
